Sweet Dressing

1/2 Loaf Fine Dried White Bread Crumbs or Toast Bread & Cut Into Small (About 1/2 In) Squares.
1 C Raisins
1/2 To 1 C Finely Chopped Celery
1/2 Stick Butter
1 Small To Medium Onion, Chopped Fine
1/3 C Sugar
1 T Cinnamon
Salt To Taste


Cook raisins & celery in water to cover until plump. Melt margarine and add onion; cook till yellow and almost transparent. Add crumbs, raisins/celery mixture, sugar and seasonings. Mix through. Add extra water to moisten, but not to make soupy. (If liquid on raisins/celery is not enough.)
Put in casserole and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 min. or until thoroughly heated through.
