The Grundy County REC is again sponsoring the "National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Government in Action Youth Tour". The trip is scheduled for June 12-17, 2010.
The winner will be rewarded with an ALL-EXPENSE PAID TRIP to Washington, D.C.. Selections will be made from high school Juniors and Sophomores whose parents or legal guardians are members of Grundy County REC. The selection process will involve the completing of the YOUTH TOUR application. The applicant will be scored on academic achievements (grade-point average), participation in school and community activities, a statement by the applicant on educational and career goals and a written recommendation by a third party.
To receive a YOUTH TOUR application, return the entry form below, or call the REC office at 319-824-5251 or 800-390-7605. The completed application must be returned to the REC by March 1, 2010. After grading of the applications, all applicants will be notified who the winner is.
